What I take for my Fibromyalgia

Since my husband and I started trying to have children 6 years ago, I have not been able to be on any medicine to treat my Fibromyalgia. 

I have always been very skeptical of direct sales companies, even though I am a Mary Kay Consultant.  When I first met Sue , who sells Nikken products, she was very nice and very informative about the products Nikken has to offer for people with Fibromyalgia.  I first tried the magnet items, but none of them worked.  She then mentioned a supplement for joints.  She said if I didn’t see any change in a few weeks she would give me my money back, so I thought why not try it.  Let me tell you, I have been taking these supplements for a very long time and I can tell the difference if I missed my pills for a few days.  Once I start taking them again, I feel much better.  I take 3 pills a day – 1 in the morning an 2 at night.  I have tried taking only 2 but they didn’t really work then. 

I am so glad I have found something that works because I have always been affraid to take the FDA approved medications out there for Fibromyalgia.  Don’t get me wrong, I still have bad days and flare-ups, but I don’t think they are as bad as they used to be.  They were also safe to take while trying to get pregnant and while pregnant.

    Hi Michelle, Having worked with clients who have suffered with Fibromyalgia I’m very much interested in helping sufferers. I KNOW that Reflexology has helped many of my clients but realise that this has to be regular and maintained to reap the benefits, I always teach them some self help techniques so they can do some self work too.

    I also know that diet has a huge contribution and that many food types, especially processed foods can have a negative effect on the body, stimulate inflammation and slow down the body’s own efforts to detoxify.

    I recently also became a Juice Plus Rep and one of the reasons I recommend it to my clients is because leading Nutritionists and Scientists have backed the products. Having suffered with inflammatory conditions myself I do know what constant pain is like to live with. Since taking Juice Plus I’ve experienced more energy, weight loss and a huge reduction in painful joints.     Omega 3 fish oil helps with inflammation. Also, there is a product called Juice Plus. I take the chews but it comes in capsules as well. It is NOT a supplement. It is actual whole fruits and veggies juiced down. You are putting whole fruits and veggies in your body and that of coarse is the natural way to eliminate inflammation and oxidative stress. There have been studies on the Juice Plus that back this product. I don’t just recommend Juice Plus for people with Fibromyalgia, I recommend it for everyone, even children. It helps to bridge the gap when you don’t get your daily fruits or vegetables. However, its not intended to take the place of you eating your fruits and vegetables. Once you start taking it, over a period of a time (about 3 months), you start eating healthier and drinking more water. You will notice your hair and nails grow faster also. All this said from personal experience.

      I would love to hear more about your fibromyalgia and Juice Plus. Recently diagnosed. I take 2 of each capsule daily and Complete shake every morning. Still really struggling with fibro fog and body aches. Any thoughts would be so appreciated.

      • Hi Alyssa. I actually started taking something new from Zija International. It has given me more energy, which I need to get through my day. I wish there was something to take for the Fibro Fog because I experience that every day. Tell me more about Juice Plus and what you take?

    Hi Michelle,
    My mother was recently diagnosed after being misdiagnosed for years with Fibromyalgia. I agree at some point we all may require some form of pain relief. But today’s NSAID’S and OTC pain killers do more harm than good and some like acetaminophen have little margin between max dose and overdose resulting in death. Although not perfect, my mom has found some pain relief through a homeopathic topical pain reliever and get this Infrared Sauna’s. The combination has allowed her to drastically reduce her consumption of pain meds.

    • Thanks CJ for the comment. That is why I don’t take any medications for Fibromyalgia. I really like th supplement I take. I have noticed a big difference so I know it is working. I also do massage therepay, which is wonderful. Trying to do what I can without medications. I hate all the side effects and how they make you feel. CRAZY!
